Martín is a renowned fashion and beauty expert with more than fifteen years of experience in empowering the Hispanic community with the tools they need to dress for success, improve their self-esteem and project their best image for any occasion—be it social or professional.
Martín is the official fashion and image advisor on Univision’s top rated national morning program, “Despierta América, ” where he presents weekly fashion and beauty segments.
He made his debut as an author with Discover Your Style: Your Guide to Dressing Better (Random House Mondadori, 2009). Dedicated to the Latina woman, in this practical Spanish guide Martín reveals the secrets of projecting an elegant, stylish and confident image to feel beautiful from the inside out. Through simple language, practical exercises and images of real Latina women of all ages, Martín shows his readers how to dress for any occasion according to their body type and personality. In 2010, the book received three honors at the 12th Annual International Latino Book Awards, including the Triple Crown Award (reserved for titles that received 100% of the judges’ first-place ballots) for the Best Health Book in the Spanish or Bilingual category.
In September 2010 Martín joined Utilísima, as the host of “Hola Martín: Estilo de Vida,” a program with the primary objective to help women feel good about their appearance and live in greater harmony with the world around them. Utilísima is a unit of Fox International Channels and the only 24-hour, 100% original, Spanish-language lifestyle network. Martín, along with his team of experts, provides fashion and lifestyle tips in a clear and accessible manner for viewers to easily put the advice into practice in their daily lives. The show focuses on personal improvement in four main areas: image, home, body and cooking. “Hola Martín: Estilo de Vida,” is seen in 16 countries including USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
Audiences also know Martín through his radio show, “Hola Martín,” which aired for more than a year on the Univision Radio network, bringing Martín’s empowering and uplifting advice to listeners from coast to coast. His unique style and charisma resonated with thousands of people who tuned in Monday through Friday for his advice on finding the balance between inner and outer beauty as well as mental, physical and spiritual balance.
In 2008, Martín launched www.holamartin.com, where he shares articles on beauty, fashion, travel, exercise, nutrition and personal improvement. The site’s popular interactive forum, www.holamartinenvivo.com, provides a place for users to share their opinions and ideas about lifestyle choices, fashion and other topics.
Born in Spain, Martín came to the United States after finishing his graduate degree in Advertising and Public Relations at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Throughout his career, Martín’s main objective in life has always been to create positive relations among people and motivate them to achieve their goals. From a small town in the Mediterranean, in the province of Alicante, he traveled to another continent to fulfill his dream of helping people discover their inner beauty and learn to project their best image to accomplish all of their goals in life.
Through his television show and appearances, seminars, magazine articles, and book, Martín promotes a positive lifestyle, self-esteem, and beauty from the inside out.
